Manto Huichol Obsidian · Macrame Bracelet

Manto Huichol Obsidian · Macrame Bracelet

US$86.00

This bracelet has a beautiful piece of Manto Huichol Obsidian at it’s centre. The stone appears black in colour from afar, but held in the sunlight/bright light it shows it’s swirling, smoke-like patterns of greens with a vivid streak of purple. Obsidian is a form of volcanic glass, which was used in sacred rituals by ancient cultures in both Central and South America. It is known for it’s protective properties. The name ‘Manto Huichol Obsidian’ comes from the Huicholes or Wixarikas (of Nahuatl-Aztec roots) from the North West of Mexico. These are the guardians of the sacred Peyote cactus. The name of the Obsidian refers to the swirling, smoke-like visions produced by taking Peyote during ceremony. 🏜️

Handwoven into a one-off piece, made using durable, high-quality Brazilian wax coated threads, which means the bracelet will keep its shape and the colour of the thread doesn’t fade over time. Each bracelet is water resistant, light-weight and feels comfortable on the skin. With an adjustable fastening, these bracelets will fit all wrist sizes, perfect if you are buying as a gift for someone!

Each bracelet will arrive in a reusable 100% cotton ITAYA drawstring bag for safe keeping.
