This talisman necklace is made with a lovely, asymmetrical Chrysocolla-Malachite stone from Peru. Its beautiful, mottled colours of deep turquoise (Chrysocolla), green (Malachite) and dark brown (Copper inclusions) create a stunning piece of dark Chrysocolla. Above the stone is a special piece of Black Ayahuasca, with a naturally occurring ‘Eye’ symbol in the very centre 👁️ which is unusual to find!

From a cultural perspective, Chrysocolla was and still is a very important stone. Used for thousands of years within pre-Inca cultures, especially along the coast of Peru, where it was thought of this as a sacred stone. For them in their cosmovision, Chrysocolla represented the connection between Man and the World.

The Black Ayahuasca piece above the stone comes from the vine of the plant, locally known as ‘trueno’ or thunder Ayahuasca for its potent medicine, it is a rarer species, used in ceremonies to deal with darker energies, shadows, the death of the ego. The Ayahuasca is coated in a resin to enhance its pattern and natural colours. Ayahuasca is an incredibly sacred plant of the Amazon, used by indigenous peoples for millennia in their ceremonies of healing (both physical & spiritual) and connection with Mother Nature. Known as ‘Planta Madre // The Mother Plant’, to wear an actual piece of the plant, is to maintain a connection to it and to Mother Nature always.
