This talisman necklace is made with a beautiful warm, earth-toned piece of Leopardite Jasper with a lovely mix of desert colours and little stones within the stone. Leopardite is found in southern Peru and is a composed of a mix of quartz, albite and mica and the mixed colours given by iron and manganese. Leopardite is a calming stone and said to aid in balancing emotions and to improve our own sense of self-worth and self-respect. ✨

Above the jasper is a very large(!) piece of Ayahuasca vine (approx. 4.5cm across). It’s rare to come across pieces so large to work with, we added a little green leaf detail to both the front and back of the piece, which has some degree of movement.🌿

The Ayahuasca piece is known here as ‘Flor de Ayahuasca // Flower of the Ayahuasca’ due to its flower-like pattern inside. The Ayahuasca is coated in a resin to enhance its pattern and natural colours. Ayahuasca is an incredibly sacred plant of the Amazon, used by indigenous peoples for millennia in their ceremonies of healing (both physical & spiritual) and connection with Mother Nature. Known as ‘La Planta Madre // The Mother Plant’, to wear an actual piece of the plant, is to maintain a connection to it and to Mother Nature always.

Many choose to wear powerful stone & Ayahuasca combinations during their ceremonies, to aid their journeys into the spiritual world. To wear as a reminder of the journey they experienced, or as a physical symbol of a calling to work with the plant in the future. 🌿

Woven using high quality Brazilian wax coated threads, this necklace is adjustable in length, water resistant, light-weight and feels comfortable on the skin. It has been handwoven using the ancient knotting technique called macrame and is made with 100% vegan materials (No leather, glues or wool).
