This design is inspired by the Andean Condor - the sacred, majestic bird which flies above the Andean mountains and valleys. This pair has two teardrop beautiful Chrysocolla stones at the centre, the stone is also known as Peruvian Turquoise due to it’s intense colour. The Condor design is first etched onto the Copper sheet, which is then hand-sawn, hammered and filed before soldering the Silver bezel to set the Chrysocolla stones and add the silver details. Each pair of earrings takes many hours to make from start to finish and we have only one of each design available.

In ancient Peruvian cultures, natural metals were deemed very spiritually important, not only for their visual beauty, but they were thought to hold deeper meanings. Both Copper and Silver were deemed very important, as Copper was said to hold the essence of the earth within it and Silver the essence of the Moon.

Each pair of earrings will arrive in a reusable 100% cotton ITAYA drawstring bag for safe keeping.
