This pair of dainty earrings are made with two gorgeous, teardrop pieces of Chrysocolla (also known as Peruvian Turquoise) with it’s characteristic mottled colours of greens, blues, turquoise and dark red (which is Copper inclusions). Made using the ancient filigree technique in Sterling Silver wire, each design has 3 little spirals at the top.

Chrysocolla has been used in jewellery for millennia. From a cultural perspective, Chrysocolla was and still is a very important stone. Used for thousands of years within pre-Inca cultures, especially along the coast of Peru, where it was thought of this as a sacred stone. For them in their cosmo vision, Chrysocolla represented the connection between Man and the World.
