This carving is made from a piece of pale aqua-blue Chrysocolla with Calcite, made into a representation of a zoomorphic warrior with both human and feline features. Inspired by the feline motifs found in many examples of art from the ancient Chavín civilization. Which depicted the fierceness of the Cougar (Puma) from the Andean mountains or the Jaguar from the jungle. 🐆

Historically, pre-Inca warriors carried small amulets with fierce facial expressions with them, to bring out their own inner strength in times of need be.

This piece has been woven using high quality Brazilian wax coated threads and only natural stones. The necklace has an adjustable length, so can be worn high-up as a choker or much lower depending on how you’d like to wear it.
