This stone is an absolute beauty! This Sterling Silver pendant is made with an oval piece of Manto Huichol Obsidian from Mexico. From afar the stone can appear dark almost-black, but once held in sunlight, it reveals incredible colours within. This piece has stunning swirls of dark purples, with hints of dark green and blue smoke-like patterns. Move the stone around in the light and you can see the colours have a soft iridescent sheen to them, almost velvet like.

This pendant has been handcrafted in 925 Sterling Silver. The silverwork with its flowing forms and spirals is a representation of the air; each spiral, braid and bead has been created by hand in our home studio in Pucallpa, Peru.

In ancient Peruvian cultures, natural metals were deemed very spiritually important, not only for their visual beauty, but they were thought to hold deeper meanings. Silver was a sacred metal and was said to hold the essence of the Moon, the lunar deity ‘Mama Quilla’ meaning Mother Moon with her strong female energy.

The pendant is on a 20 inch oxidised Sterling Silver foxtail chain (one length). The thickness of the chain balances well with the boldness of the pendant. You can choose the option below to have the pendant come with this chain, or to have the pendant on its own if you already have a chain you love.
